Why Atlassian chooses Devpost for 10+ years of hackathons

Codegeist is Atlassian's annual hackathon that encourages developers from around the world to unleash their creativity and build apps that extend Atlassian products, including Jira, Jira Service Management, Confluence, Bitbucket, and Compass.

Devpost is proud to have powered Atlassian’s Codegeist hackathons since 2013. As the technologies used in the hackathons have evolved in the last 10+ years, this annual event allows developers to learn new capabilities of Atlassian products and build new projects. It also fosters long-lasting relationships between Atlassian and the developers, who often participate year after year.

These hackathons deliver multiple benefits:

  • Re-engaging users with Atlassian products
  • Increasing awareness of new capabilities, like Rovo and Forge
  • Expanding Atlassian’s marketplace with fresh, innovative apps
  • Growing Atlassian’s developer ecosystem through annual hackathons
  • Encouraging developers to build new applications or update their work
